What are the benefits of joining the pilot program?

For starters, we believe you’ll find R3WIND, even in MVP form, both fun and useful in a variety of ways. But if not, you’ll be able to tell us directly what needs improvement, and we’ll work with you to fix issues and add features. By the end of Pilot Season, we aim to have an ecosystem that is useful and delightful for the majority of our users.
Additionally, you will enjoy several privileges as we grow the ecosystem, including:
🎉 Create another channel of your own.
🤝 Invite friends and collaborators to create a channel of their own. You'll be a huge part of how this ecosystem grows.
🧃 Weigh in on product decisions on an ongoing basis.
🖼️ Receive an NFT, to which these privileges are tied.
🔒 Join an exclusive creator network
…and more TBD
Am I eligible for the pilot program?

We are looking for the following types of applicants:
◦ Artists within communities who can pull in fellow artists and fill a channel with videos.
◦ Creative communities that are already producing a steady stream of video content.
◦ Collectives, DAOs, and companies that are interested in building an organic creative community around their brand.
◦ Individual artists who are able to build a community on R3WIND from scratch (you’ll have to demonstrate that you’ve successfully built a community in the past).
If you meet one of these, we HIGHLY encourage you to apply!
What if I don't meet any of these reqirements?

If you are an artist who does not fit one of the above categories but is interested in participating in our pilot program, you can apply as well. We will bring you into a private space in our Discord along with other Pilot Season members, help you find Channels to post to, and group you with other artists to potentially start a Channel.
How does the Pilot Season NFT fit into all this?

Each person or entity invited to start a channel, as well as our top contributors during Pilot Season, will receive an NFT. The NFT is completely FREE. If you don’t have a wallet and/or don’t care about NFTs, no problem. Please apply anyway. If selected, we’ll help you set up a wallet and send you the NFT, and maybe you’ll find it useful in the future :)
We want to emphasize that R3WIND is for everyone. The NFT is above all a wonderful tool to help manage our ecosystem more efficiently from the start.
The NFT supply will be ~200, i.e. small. When we expand beyond Pilot Season, NFT holders will have the first opportunity to start new channels, giving them a head start in our ecosystem.
I was with you until I heard you were doing something with NFTs…what’s the deal?

Obviously there’s a lot of hype and scamming in the blockchain world, and we have/want nothing to do with any of it. That said, blockchain tech—and specifically the nonfungible token (NFT)—has the potential to immensely streamline things like access, permissions, and payments. We believe in the tech for these specific purposes which is why we are implementing it into our ecosystem.
But I don’t have a wallet nor any idea where to start when it comes to NFTs…

Not to worry, for the foreseeable future you will be able to log in and use R3WIND the normal way, with an email, Google account, etc. If it becomes necessary for you to have an NFT to use any part of R3WIND, we will make it ridiculously easy and be available to help you get set up. The NFT does play a role in our pilot program and any successful applicants who need guidance will get it.

When will the R3WIND ecosystem launch?

We’re aiming for Q2, 2023. So…soon.
Why are you calling it an “ecosystem” and not a “platform”?

“Platform” implies something we make that you build on top of, whereas we endeavor to build alongside all the artists and organizations that spend valuable time and resources on R3WIND. We don’t know exactly how this will play out over time, but we’ve got tons of ideas. For starters, beginning with our pilot program, artists and orgs can help test R3WIND and provide feedback in return for earlier access to the ecosystem and decision making power over future features.
How can I get involved right now?

First, you can read more about our pilot program
on Mirror and if eligible,
apply to join. We will bring selected applicants into a private section of our Discord where we’ll work together to test very early components of the ecosystem prior to our public launch. You can also
join our Discord directly,
follow us on Twitter, and sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the site.
